Moonah Hotel & Cellars
Moonah Hotel is an old-style pub featuring a public bar, dining room, beer garden and bottleshop on the main road of Moonah, just north of Hobart. We were immediately drawn to the unique Spanish Mission style facade of the building featuring traditional features such as arched windows and a tiled roof. Taking inspiration from the building itself we created a bespoke typeface referencing the shapes found in the architecture. By creating such a highly distinctive typeface, the brand becomes instantly recognisable without the need for the logo. To support the primary wordmark we also created a less flamboyant monogram which is used as a secondary band mark.
